Furnas test station, Aparecida de Goiânia
In Aparecida de Goiânia, the utility Furnas exposes 80 cm concrete blocks on an ageing station, designed to undergo the alkali-aggregate reaction, delayed ettringite formation, both, or to remain sound. We measure the evolution of their cracks by close-range photogrammetry: 26 blocks in 2022, 12 of them in a laboratory in Curitiba, at 0.25 mm per pixel, then 14 blocks in September 2023 at 0.15 mm per pixel, photographed from 40 cm, each face being compared with the previous campaign.
