Juquiá hydroelectric complex

The Juquiá complex, in the south of São Paulo State, brings together seven hydroelectric plants belonging to an energy producer: six dams in cascade on the Juquiá-Guaçu river, França, Fumaça, Barra, Porto Raso, Alecrim and Serraria, and Salto do Iporanga on the Assungui river, with crests of 140 to 265 m and heights of 15 to 45 m. The contract signed in July 2026 covers the detailed survey of the faces and crests of all seven structures, then a follow-up survey. From 17 to 21 August we flew over the seven dams and surveyed Salto do Iporanga in detail; from 5 to 8 October, the faces of Serraria, until the opening of the spillway gates interrupted the mission. The rest is scheduled for the 2027 dry season.
