Larivot bridge: the repair of a 1,225 m bridge, filmed over eight visits
Since October 2024, aerial and ground photos and videos at each phase of the repair works on the existing bridge, and in March 2026 a four-to-five-minute film for the contractor’s convention.

Background
The Larivot bridge carries national road 1 over the Cayenne river, between Cayenne and Macouria: 1,225 m and 35 spans, built between 1974 and 1976. On behalf of the DGTM, Freyssinet is carrying out its repair and maintenance, from the steel piles to the concrete of the pier caps and deck, while the new bridge is being built alongside. The contractor wanted footage of every phase, on the ground and from the air, for its communication and for an end-of-works film.
What we did
After a scoping meeting in April 2024, we agreed with the works manager on the list of phases to film and on eleven visits, with interviews of the teams. The bridge lies within the control zone of Cayenne airport: each campaign requires clearance from air traffic control or the prefecture, and the dates follow the works schedule. Eight visits took place between 8 October 2024 and 23 July 2026: dredging, installation of the travelling gantries under the beams and a new jetty in February 2025, anodes fitted by divers and work from rolling and floating platforms in July 2025, divers again in November. On 24 February and 3 and 4 March 2026 we shot the sequences of a four-to-five-minute film for the company’s convention: interviews, pre-shift briefing, crews heading to the site by boat, access to the platforms. It was delivered in two versions, on 13 and 20 March. Freyssinet had already entrusted us with the film of the Sinnamary bridge works, delivered in February 2023 and in its final version in February 2024.
