Roy canal: 7.7 km of LiDAR from a dugout canoe, in the Kaw marshes
In late June 2024, in the Kaw-Roura marshes nature reserve: a 7,700 m by 200 m corridor surveyed from the boat, 155 million points and the ground restored beneath the vegetation.

Background
The Roy canal links the Kaw marshes to the Approuague river. To maintain it, the sea, coast and rivers directorate of DGTM Guyane needed the ground relief along the canal, under dense vegetation, with at least 70 LiDAR points per square metre. The canal crosses the Kaw-Roura marshes national nature reserve: the overflight was authorised by a prefectoral order of 21 June 2024, after favourable opinions from the reserve managers and the regional scientific council for natural heritage, for the period from 25 June to 25 July.
What we did
Two remote pilots worked from a boat provided by DGTM: the LiDAR drone took off from the boat and returned to it on every flight, with a GNSS base on the ground for PPK trajectory processing. The cloud holds 155 million points, classified as ground and above-ground. We delivered the 1 m terrain and surface models on 8 July, the classified cloud on 9 July, then two 10 cm terrain models of reference areas on 11 July 2024. The order also provided for the data to be shared with the reserve’s curator.

Corossony solar plant: 1,472 concrete footings surveyed at 2 mm per pixel before repowering
A 1:500 topographic plan of the plant in operation in September 2024, then the position and height of each of the 1,472 footings kept for the new structures, in December 2025.

Waste in western French Guiana: eight visits in Saint-Laurent, four Maroni villages at 1 cm
Since October 2024, photos taken from the same viewpoints at every visit to the Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni waste storage facility, with a 3 cm orthophoto and a plan since December 2024; in February 2026, the waste sites of four river villages surveyed at 1 cm.
