Background

Genergies operates and maintains photovoltaic plants in the French Caribbean and French Guiana on behalf of their owners. On a solar plant, a panel that overheats, a string of modules that has been cut or tall grass casting shade means production lost every day. After a first plant in Le Carbet in June 2026, Genergies’ operations and maintenance department entrusted us in July with the Bellefontaine plant and eight ground-mounted plants in Guadeloupe, then in September with a rooftop installation in Matoury, each time with the same request: to know, panel by panel, what is not producing as expected and where to send the teams.

What we did

In Le Carbet on 17 June: 2,143 panels, report delivered the next day. In Bellefontaine, medium-voltage lines carried by 27 m pylons run above the plant: a LiDAR survey on 17 July provided the terrain model on which we set flights at 30 m on 20 July: 8,996 panels. In Guadeloupe, from 3 to 13 August, eight ground-mounted plants in Le Moule, Petit-Canal, Saint-François and Gourbeyre: 18,671 panels. In Matoury on 17 September, 3,523 panels on the roofs of three commercial buildings. Everywhere, visible flights (1 to 1.5 cm per pixel) and radiometric infrared flights (2.8 to 4 cm), under irradiance recorded between 720 and 1,267 W/m²; every report is checked by a second operator before being approved.
